Alfa Laval Wins SEK 120 M Energy Efficiency Order

Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply large heat exchangers to a petrochemical plant in China. The order has a value of approximately SEK 120 million. It is booked in the Welded Heat Exchangers unit of the Energy Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2018 and 2019.

The order comprises of large Alfa Laval OLMI heat exchangers to be used to recover and reuse energy in different steps in the chemical process of producing components for polystyrene production.

"Alfa Laval offers an extensive product range of heat exchangers with one important thing in common; they are all highly efficient and thereby contribute to huge energy savings – which makes a big difference on our customers' bottom line. In addition, every year they save a lot of CO2 emissions which is beneficial to the society," says Susanne Pahlén Åklundh, President of the Energy Division.
