Iberdrola Will Build its Fifth Wind Farm in Illinois, US

Iberdrola, through its US subsidiary Avangrid, is going to install what will be its fifth onshore wind farm in the state of Illinois, where it has already been operating farms for more than 15 years.

Osagrove Flats will have 34 turbines with a total capacity of 153 MW, which will enable it to generate 550,000 MWh of clean energy per year, equivalent to the consumption of 50,000 US homes.

Around 300 jobs will be created during the construction of the park. In addition, the long-term operation and maintenance of the park will also generate permanent jobs in the area.
