Alfa Laval – a world leader in heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling – has won an order to supply Alfa Laval compact heat exchangers to a refinery in Russia. The order, booked in the Energy & Process segment, has a value of approximately SEK 60 million and delivery is scheduled for 2016 and 2017.
The order comprises the delivery of Alfa Laval compact heat exchangers for the preheating of crude oil in different steps of the refinery process. The innovative installation, where a complete crude oil process will be heated with welded heat exchangers instead of traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, will result in a design with less space requirements than traditional solutions.
“I am very pleased to announce this refinery order where our heat exchangers play an important role to make the installation both compact and more energy efficient,” says Lars Renström, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group.
