The contract will enable Iran to enhance energy safety of the country as well as secure and guarantee the supply of Russian nuclear fuel. Furthermore, it will eliminate all risks connected with the transit of Russian nuclear fuel through the countries neighbouring Iran.

TVEL Rosatom Fuel Company, in its turn, will additionally load its fabrication and separation capacities and cut the net cost of production.

In the near future TVEL JSC will start production of the batch. The fuel will be delivered in late November – early December 2017.
